Peer-to-Peer car rental firm DriveMyCar has partnered with UberX in Australia, according to a report by The Australian. DriveMyCar will allow UberX drivers to rent out cars on a weekly basis with no lock-in contracts.

Uber drivers can also choose the make and model of the vehicle they want, including Toyota, Hyundai, Holden, Jeep, Audi, and BMW, says the report.

“We were receiving inquiries from drivers looking for an affordable solution to renting a car specifically for UberX use,” Chris Noone, CEO of DriveMyCar, told The Australian. “We worked with our insurance company to provide a policy that was compliant to the demands of the ridesharing industry, and we worked with Uber to make sure that we had the right types of vehicles available at the right time for the right rental periods.”

DriveMyCar is a peer-to-peer car rental service that allows car owners to earn money for renting out their cars.
