GoCar has continued to expand in Ireland following a 3 million euros investment this year, according to a report by Business World.
GoCar’s carsharing service has grown from two to 18 counties across Ireland, says the report. In the last year, GoCar has doubled its fleet and its members.
“We are delighted to mark European Mobility Week with the announcement of GoCar’s expansion across Ireland, a significant milestone for the company as we approach our 10-year anniversary next year,” Colm Brady, GoCar’s managing director, told Business World.
Partnerships with Irish Rail and county councils helped GoCar expand its carsharing service beyond Cork and Dublin to 16 more counties, including Galway, Limerick, Kilkenny, Waterford, and Wicklow, according to the report.
Since its launch in 2008, GoCar has continued to expand to new locations, added an electric vehicle fleet in 2016, and now offers dedicated parking spaces in Dublin.
