Avis Rent A Car has received the 'Best in Business Travel' award presented by Business Traveler.
Readers chose Avis as the best car rental company in the Europe and Worldwide categories in the annual survey of business traveler preferences, which features 49 categories including hotels, airlines, car rental and luggage companies.
A recent study by Avis found business travelers, on average, lost as much as three hours during a three-day trip due to traffic delays, being lost, waiting at tollbooths and trying to find a high-speed Internet connection. Avis offers solutions to save time and maximize productivity.
The auto rental company recently launched its newest version of Where2, the company's fully portable Global Positioning System (GPS). In addition to a simple user interface and an array of navigation features, the device includes real time traffic updates, Bluetooth hands-free calling capability, MP3 audio playback and other services provided by MSN Direct.
Customers can also take advantage of other services offered by Avis including Avis Connect portable Wi-Fi Internet access, eToll (electronic toll collection) and Avis Chauffeur Drive, which give customers the ability to hire a professional driver.
