Avis Budget Group Inc. has honored Budget Jordan as its Licensee of the Year for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Budget Jordan is independently owned and operated by Central Trade and Auto Co. (CTA), which took over the Budget franchise in Jordan in 2012. According to Avis Budget, CTA expanded the fleet and grew the Budget network to serve the rental needs of business and leisure travelers at five facilities, including one at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.

"CTA has raised Budget's profile in Jordan to compete alongside rental agencies that have operated in the country for more than 20 years," said Larry De Shon, president of EMEA, Avis Budget Group. "We applaud their hard work and dedication and are confident that they will continue to help us strategically accelerate growth in Jordan."

Budget Jordan provides customers with late-model vehicles with automatic transmissions, including Hyundai, Kia, Lexus and Toyota, says Avis Budget.

"We hold ourselves to high standards and aim to provide customers with outstanding products and services," said Dina G. Haddad, general manager of Budget Jordan. "We're proud to be recognized as Licensee of the Year for our achievements."

Other EMEA licensees that were recognized by Budget include Budget Poland, Budget Romania and Budget Turkey.
