"The rugby community includes many passionate, committed and receptive individuals who travel for business, for pleasure or both," said Tom Villani, vice president, global travel and partnerships for Avis Budget Group. "Collaborating with Rugby Canada will help us showcase our brands, engage this audience and drive revenue."

Avis Budget Group will also be a strong supporter of the upcoming Canada Women's Sevens, a two-day event that combines traditional rugby with a unique atmosphere, as the world's 12 best teams compete in a round-robin tournament. The inaugural tournament takes place in Langford, B.C. on April 18 and 19.

"We are extremely proud to work with Avis Budget Group," said Mark Lemmon, chief marketing officer, Rugby Canada. "This strategic business partnership will offer Rugby Canada's national membership the benefit of first-rate service and competitive rates with Avis and Budget, while also allowing our athletes, coaches and staff to dedicate more resources towards our on-field performance."
