MEXICO CITY, Mexico -- Avis Rent A Car System and Avis Mexico (operated by Avis licensee Comercial Ariete S.A. de CV) announced today that they have reorganized their Mexican sales force in an effort to better serve clients. The new organization, headquartered in Mexico City, will now handle all domestic and outbound Mexican sales.
Effective today, Alex Pace of GMS (Global Marketing Sales) will direct the sales activity on behalf of Avis Mexico and the worldwide network of Avis Rent A Car Companies. Travel buyers located in Mexico, regardless of where their travelers will be renting Avis cars, now have a single point of contact in Mexico to handle their rental car needs.
"We believe that reorganizing the sales force in this way is a much more effective approach to servicing our clients," said Alberto Gomez, vice president and general manager of Avis Mexico. Added Gerard Quirk, vice president of Global sales and marketing for Cendant Car Rental Group, parent company of Avis Rent A Car: "Creating a one-stop solution for Mexican buyers will allow us to better tailor programs that address the domestic and international needs of our growing client base."
Founded in 1963, Avis Mexico operates more than 50 locations throughout Mexico.
