Avis to Offer In-Car Entertainment Downloads
Renters receive a free audiobook and 10 free songs from eMusic.
Avis Rent A Car recently announced that it is allowing customers who rent a vehicle for five or more days the ability to download a free eMusic audiobook in addition to 10 free songs.
Renters can choose from books by popular authors, including John Grisham, Elizabeth Gilbert and David Sedaris, or classics from Charles Dickens, Mark Twain and Jane Austen, or select from more than 3.5 million music tracks.
Avis will also distribute free Avis Music Cables to renters which will enable customers to listen to their MP3 players through the sound system in most rental vehicles. The cords plug into any standard portable audio player headphone jack and work on most MP3 players.
The program runs from now through September 30, 2008.
To receive free audiobook and music downloads, customers must enroll in the Avis eMusic Giveaway at www.avis.com/emusic or through the Avis reservation center at 1-888-777-AVIS.
Car rental reservations can also be made online at avis.com. An e-mail containing eMusic download codes will be automatically sent after customers complete each qualifying rental.
