Avis UK Reveals Latest Attitudes to Car Rental

Price transparency and the ability to book a specific make and model of car are the most important factors for customers when renting a vehicle according to an in-depth survey by Avis in the United Kingdom.
More than 2,000 customers across the corporate, business travel and consumer sectors in the United Kingdom responded to the Avis survey, giving an exclusive insight into the latest needs of the modern day car rental user.
The survey respondents’ main focus was the ability to choose the make and model of car they rent and the transparency of rental price and clarity of vehicle condition at the end of the rental contract.
Nearly 65 percent of renters said knowing the final price before they left their car was very important, while 62 percent said getting an all-in price was their most key consideration.
Almost 50 percent of renters said being able to choose the make and model of their car was also a key factor.
Avis is already in the process of extending its Select Series where customers can guarantee booking a VW Golf, Audi A4 or Peugeot 207CC at its key airport and London rental stations.
