Avis Car Rental has selected Avis Uruguay as its licensee of the year in Latin America. Operating since 1979, Avis Uruguay has been recognized for its commitment to serving the car rental demand in Uruguay, says Avis.
“We are honored to have received this award,” said Renzo Musitelli, director of Avis Uruguay. “We know that there are bigger Avis locations in larger countries with more resources, but we believe we stand out because we provide our customers with the extra special attention that they deserve.”
Operated by an independently owned Avis licensee, Avis Uruguay has grown to include 11 locations, including Montevideo (airport and downtown), Punta del Este (airport and downtown), Colonia, Mercedes, Paysandu, Canelones, Fray Bentos, Tacuarembo and Durazno.
“Uruguay has a stable economy and has been experiencing significant growth,” said Patric Siniscalchi, president of Avis Latin America/Asia-Pacific. “Avis Uruguay has been able to successfully tap into that growth by delivering exceptional service and quality vehicles to its customers, making it the right choice for Avis Licensee of the Year in Latin America.”
Avis Uruguay has a fleet of more than 1,100 cars, including those manufactured by Fiat, Chevrolet, Suzuki and Dodge, says the company.
