Budget Truck's Web Redesign Boosts Online Traffic
PARSIPPANY, N.J. --- Budget Truck Rental reported that online traffic has increased significantly since the launch of its redesigned Web site in May.
PARSIPPANY, N.J. --- Budget Truck Rental reported that online traffic has increased significantly since the launch of its redesigned Web site in May. For example, in July, traffic and reservations rose 72% over July 2004, making July the best month ever in terms of traffic and reservations.
Year-over-year conversions --- the portion of Web site visitors who actually make a reservation --- have also strongly increased, the company said.
Enhancements include a simplified booking process, an improved mechanism for finding special equipment, and the ability to purchase add-ons such as furniture pads and boxes. The moving supplies can also be shipped to customers.
"Many of our customers prefer the convenience and capability of booking truck rentals online," said Mira Brand, vice president of marketing for Budget Truck Rental. "Therefore, we made significant efforts to redesign our Web site and increase search engine optimization --- both of which contributed to our success."
Budgettruck.com originally launched in March 2000. The redesigned site and the original were both developed the Indigio Group, based in Denver.
