Company Rents GPS Units Direct to Travelers

“Why pay a car rental company extra money when you can rent one from just dollars a day,” says Richard Skinner, the owner of GPS Enterprises.

At a time when Americans are cutting back, a Wisconsin-based company is offering GPS devices for rent.

“The most common comment that I get is, ‘Wow! I didn’t know I could do that,’” says Richard Skinner, the owner of GPS Enterprises, LLC, which operates GPSRentals.biz. “We’re in an economy now where it doesn’t make sense to spend money to buy assets that you don’t really need. It isn’t practical for people to buy GPS devices and maintain them. We’re a much more cost-effective option.”

Targeted to the vacationer or business traveler, GPSRentals.biz offers an alternative to those who want the luxury of having a GPS device without the up-front costs and maintenance fees that go along with GPS ownership. The company offers three different GPS systems for travel in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Puerto Rico, as well as off the road units for outdoor activities and other uses off the highways.

“It doesn’t matter where you are, we can ship you a GPS device to take on a trip,” says Skinner. “Why pay a car rental company extra money when you can rent one from just dollars a day.”

Skinner says he’s worked with companies that hold conferences or retreats and rents dozens of GPS devices that are made available to their employees. The rental option provides businesses and groups the option of making GPS systems available to associates, without purchasing and maintaining their own inventory.

He’s also popular with group events like weddings and family reunions. But at its heart, Skinner says he loves being able to build a business geared around helping people.

“I just want my customers to be happy,” says Skinner. “People today are talking about how we need to return to old-fashioned values and standards. As far as I’m concerned, I never left them. This is about giving people respect, value, service, and options. GPSRentals.biz is an ideal solution for occasional GPS needs.”
