As of press time, the acquisition of seven in-terminal locations and nine other locations by Dollar Rent A Car was to close on March 13, 2000. Dollar announced the purchase of all of the locations in the state of Texas owned by JFC Automotive Rental Group, L.L.C.
The deal includes JFC’s seven in-terminal locations at the airports serving San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Brownsville/South Padre Island, Harlingen, McAllen Midland and Abilene. It also encompasses nine other locations in these same cities, as well as two additional locations in San Antonio. The agreement includes the franchise rights and fixed assets.
JFC will continue to operate its current rental car operations as a Dollar licensee located in Aspen, Colorado Springs, Durango and Montrose, Colorado.
