As part of a $21 million economic impact growth strategy, Enterprise Holdings has hired more than 250 new employees in Nashville during the last year.

Enterprise also plans to add more jobs to support the opening of four new Nashville rental locations in the next year, says the company. Currently, Enterprise Holdings — owner of Enterprise, National and Alamo brands — operates 40 locations in the greater Nashville area.

“We strongly believe in hiring locally and investing locally, right where our employees and customers actually live and work,” said Darren Gottschalk, vice president of Enterprise Holdings in Nashville. “With a growing team and new locations, we are better positioned to offer our customers greater convenience and vehicle selection, in addition to the service quality they’ve come to expect from our three car rental brands.”

During fiscal-year 2014, Enterprise made the following key contributions: $11 million in state and local tax revenues; $10 million spent with local body shops, dealerships and vehicle maintenance facilities; $300,000 for the United Way’s local Middle Tennessee chapters; and $75,000 in donations by the Enterprise Holdings Foundation to local charities.

“I am pleased that Enterprise continues to invest in our community,” said Rep. Charles Sargent, whose district is home to the Tennessee corporate offices of Enterprise Holdings. “We expect the improvements the company is making to its airport facility will continue to spur growth and create more jobs in the region.”
