Enterprise Highlights Importance of Rental Reimbursement
With a humorous YouTube video, Enterprise Rent-A-Car reinforces the benefits of rental reimbursement, an inexpensive auto insurance add-on that covers the cost of using a rental car while a vehicle is in the shop.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is using humor to reinforce the benefits of rental reimbursement, an inexpensive auto insurance add-on that covers the cost of using a rental car while a vehicle is in the shop.
According to Enterprise Automated Rental Management System (ARMS) data, vehicles are in the shop for an average of 13 days after an accident, leading vehicle owners to have to borrow family cars, hitch rides or pay out-of-pocket rental fees of up to $400.
“Many people aren’t sure if they’re covered for a replacement rental while their vehicle is in the shop, and many don’t find out until it’s too late,” said Mary Mahoney, vice president of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “One year of rental reimbursement coverage can cost less than a one-day car rental. With that in mind, the video and website are fun, lighthearted ways to generate awareness and educate drivers.”
“Customers who have rental reimbursement coverage also tend to be more satisfied with their insurance companies, making them less likely to shop for a new provider,” added Mahoney. “It’s a winning scenario for both customers and their agents.”
