Gallagher, an insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting services company, recently hired Aria “Joe” Irani as a risk advisor based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Gallagher works with the auto rental industry, which faces growing challenges with a commercial insurance marketplace experiencing limited capacity, coverage availability, and increased auto claims.
As the former CEO of AVR Van Rental, Irani brings practical experience on the challenges rental operators face, from distracted driving and nuclear verdicts to supply chain shortages and increased vehicle technology driving up repair costs.
In a news release, Irani said he can help guide rental car operators through a structured set of risk management principles that spans safety and stability. By doing so, rental car businesses may lower costs and improve their insurance situations.
Iran earned a Bachelor of Science in operations management and an Executive MBA from the University of Utah. In 2023, Ernst & Young LLP named Irani an Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Mountain West Award finalist.
