Germond Named CEO of Europcar Group
Starting Oct. 1, Philippe Germond will officially take the CEO position at Europcar Group and will serve as a member of the board of directors of Europcar and Eurazeo.

Philippe Germond has been appointed the CEO of Europcar Group and will serve as a member of the board of directors of Europcar and Eurazeo, the main shareholder of Europcar.
Germond will assume his duties starting Oct. 1, 2014.
“We are extremely happy with Philippe Germond's arrival as the Europcar Group's CEO,” said Patrick Sayer, chairman of Eurazeo's management board. “In the course of his career, Philippe has amply proven his ability, particularly in listed companies, to support major transformation projects by anticipating change, and by making the companies he heads more digital and more customer-oriented.”
Prior to Europcar, Germond served as CEO of PMU, president of Alcatel and was a member of the management board for Hewlett-Packard.
"In close collaboration with all employees, directors and shareholders, I am proud to be part of the new dynamic already initiated by Europcar's managerial team,” said Germond. “I will commit fully to pursuing its drive toward transformation with the goal of making Europcar into a key mobility player attentive to the changing expectations and needs of its customers."
