The Hertz Corp. has expanded its van rental network in Britain by launching two new van supersites in Glasgow and West Thurrock. These new locations increase the total number of the U.K.’s Hertz van supersites to 20, boosting Hertz's van rental capacity, says the company.

Hertz's van supersites provide a range of vehicles from small, medium and large vans to tippers and minibuses. Hertz 24/7 — by the hour, around the clock van rental — is available from both sites, according to the company.

"We're keeping Britain on the move," said Neil Cunningham, general manager, Hertz UK. "Our flexible van rental service helps customers focus on growing their businesses efficiently by removing the financial commitment of purchasing a fleet and by saving them the administrative headache of insurance, breakdown cover, maintenance, servicing and road tax. We're seeing an increasing number of businesses opting for commercial vehicle rental as an alternative to ownership."

The Glasgow and West Thurrock locations are positioned near major motorways to serve the west coast of Scotland, London and the south east of England, respectively. West Thurrock has a total capacity of 1,300 vans, while Glasgow’s location has space for more than 1,000 vans, says the company.

The range of vans includes small vans (such as the Fiat Fiorino, Fiat Doblo and Volkswagen Caddy), medium vans (such as Ford Transit Custom, Vauxhall Vivaro and Volkswagen Transporter) and larger vans (Ford Transit LWB and ELWB, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Fiat Ducato).
