Hertz Appoints Scott Sider President, Off-Airport Business
Sider started his career at Hertz as a college intern, and began full-time employment in 1983.
The Hertz Corporation has appointed Scott P. Sider as president of off-airport operations.
The company's U.S. off-airport business now generates revenues of almost $1 billion annually at almost 1,700 locations, focusing on insurance replacement, leisure and commercial rentals in urban and suburban markets across the country. Sider will be headquartered at the company's corporate offices in Park Ridge, N.J.
Sider started his career at Hertz as a college intern, and began full-time employment in 1983. He has had a number of increasingly senior management positions in the company's U.S. car rental operations, including regional vice president of the New England and west central regions.
Since 1998, Scott has served as regional vice president of Hertz's western region which encompasses California, the other west coast states and Hawaii. The western region currently includes over 400 off-airport locations.
Sider holds a B.S. degree from the University of Kansas.
