Hertz Portugal has partnered with MyCaddyMaster, a golf clubs rental company, to offer a combined car and golf equipment rental package.
Golfers can order golf clubs online and find them in their rental car when arriving at Portugal's Lisbon and Faro airports, says Hertz. Then customers can drop off their golf bag and car at the same place before flying home, without having to carry the golf bags while traveling.
This partnership was inspired by the popularity of golf holidays. With airlines now charging around 60 pounds in luggage fees to transport a set of golf clubs, the demand for equipment rental while on vacation is growing, according to Hertz.
The MyCaddyMaster website will pre-select Hertz cars at the best price and with trunks large enough to accommodate the equipment that has been booked, says the company.
