Highway Toll Administration (HTA) recently announced an aggressive expansion of services in Puerto Rico, EarthTimes reports.
HTA has secured additional customer contracts in Puerto Rico with several local rental agencies, including Target Rent-A-Car, AAA Car Rental, and U-Save Car & Truck Rental. There are an estimated 10,000 total rental vehicles in Puerto Rico.
Rental vehicles will utilize AutoExpreso sticker-tag transponders that allow drivers to breeze through toll plazas. Customers are charged a daily fee plus any tolls incurred, and charges appear directly on the customer's credit card.
Rental customers can now safely enjoy using the island's toll ways without stopping and fumbling for change.
