IMG Worldwide Negotiates Partnership between China Car Rental and David Beckham
Media company IMG Worldwide negotiates a deal with Beijing-based China Auto Rental and global superstar David Beckham.
IMG Worldwide, a global sports, fashion and media company, recently announced that it negotiated a partnership between China Auto Rental (CAR), a Beijing-based car rental company, and soccer player David Beckham. This new partnership builds on the commitment Beckham has made to developing and inspiring young Chinese to follow and play the sport of soccer.
CAR’s partnership with Beckham will help boost the company’s future five-year plan of action, involving implementation of technology research and development, product design and service optimization, according to IMG Worldwide. One example of CAR’s forward-thinking initiatives is called CAR Cloud Strategy, which is evolved from cloud concepts and technology.
Lu Zhengyao, chairman of CAR, said, "We are extremely pleased to have entered into this partnership with David, a global football icon. Together our goal is to promote healthy living, a commitment to sports and innovative solutions to car rentals. We at CAR are proud that David has agreed to support us in our future business initiatives."
On the partnership with CAR, David Beckham responded: "China holds a special place in my heart. I have seen with my own eyes the joys and aspirations of this country during my multiple visits here. It is an honor to have established this partnership with a company as dynamic and innovative as CAR. I would like to personally thank Chairman Lu for his commitment to this relationship as well as congratulate him on the amazing success of CAR."
