Cerefice oversees global licensee operations for both Dollar and Thrifty brands as well as the administration of the entire Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group's U.S. fleet. His address will guide car rental operators through the unprecedented challenges the industry faces today and offer insight into a sustainable future.
Auto Rental News and the American Car Rental Association (ACRA) announce that Jeffrey Cerefice of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (DTG) will deliver the keynote address at the 2010 Car Rental Show.
Cerefice’s keynote, “Successfully Navigating the New Car Rental Environment,” will guide car rental operators through the unprecedented challenges the industry faces today and offer insight into a sustainable future.
Cerefice’s keynote will draw on his more than 35 years of experience in the car rental industry. Cerefice is vice president, Global Franchise Operations, DTG Fleet Services and Thrifty Car Sales. In this position, Cerefice oversees global licensee operations for both brands as well as the administration of the entire Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group’s U.S. fleet.
Cerefice started his car rental career as an account representative before joining Thrifty in 1974 as northeast regional manager, overseeing licensees in the northeast U.S. and eastern Canada.
In the early 1980s Cerefice established an independent car rental business with five locations in metro New York. He rejoined Thrifty in 1992 as executive director of international development and was named staff vice president of international development in 1993. Thrifty’s international presence grew from 35 to 52 countries during his tenure.
“We are thrilled to have Jeff on board to deliver our keynote address,” said Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “Jeff has a wealth of experience on the corporate side and as an owner/operator. Combined with his expertise in fleet purchasing and car sales, Jeff’s insights and perspectives will provide real take-home value for our audience of car rental entrepreneurs.”
Themed “Right Size, Right Now,” the 2010 Car Rental Show will convene at the Las Vegas Hilton, April 20-21. Visit www.carrentalshow.com and www.autorentalnews.com for information.
