PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Cendant Car Rental Group, owner of Avis and Budget, today announced Robert Lambert's promotion to senior vice president of corporate sales. In this role, he will oversee the corporate and insurance replacement sales functions for Avis and Budget.

Lambert brings more than 24 years of experience to the newly created position. He has served as district sales representative, district sales manager, national account manager and, most recently, as regional sales vice president for the Western region, since 1990.

"Bob is perfect for this leadership position," said Chuck Fallon, executive vice president of revenue generation for Cendant Car Rental Group. "He has a track record of success in developing relationships with corporate clients. The company will continue to benefit greatly from his experience and leadership."

Lambert, who has two sons, will relocate with his wife, Rae Lynn, to Northern New Jersey. He holds a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
