New York City Tops Holiday Rental Rate Survey
For the Christmas period spanning Dec. 23 until Dec. 27, New York City had the highest daily rental car rates at $178, according to a survey from CheapCarRental.net. West Palm Beach followed in second with a daily rate of $133 for the cheapest available car.

For the Christmas period spanning Dec. 23 until Dec. 27, New York City had the highest daily rental car rates at $178, according to a survey from CheapCarRental.net. West Palm Beach followed in second with a daily rate of $133 for the cheapest available car.
CheapCarRental.net looked at the car rental rates for 30 popular U.S. destinations during the Christmas period and compared them to average rental rates for the month of January.
West Palm Beach had the largest price increase at nearly 600%, according to the survey. Renting a car in West Palm Beach usually costs around $20 per day.
Finishing out the top 5 most expensive car rental rates for the Christmas holiday, Honolulu takes third, followed by Fort Myers, Fla., and Sarasota, Fla.
According to the survey, overall Florida had the most cities represented on the list (West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami).
