A recent survey conducted by Greenfield Online, a marketing research provider that conducts custom consumer and business-to-business online studies, showed that 89% of mothers planning leisure travel desire baby-friendly features from travel vendors, such as hotels, airlines and car rental companies.
What do moms want at hotels? Ninety-one percent of moms want safety bars on balconies, followed by 74% wanting up-to-date cribs and 64% desiring safety locks on doors and cabinets.
What do moms want the airlines to provide? Eighty-nine percent said they want a baby/child seat discount, while 83% said they need diaper-changing facilities. Another 80% want pre-boarding for small children and 79% desire safety seats for young children ( of which 63% would pay extra for this)
When renting a car, 87% of moms want a four-door vehicle, 78% want child safety locks and 71% want child safety windows.
The study identifies Holiday Inn, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines as providers of the most baby-friendly services.
