ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Payless Car Rental System Inc. announced the addition of two new franchisees, serving Jacksonville, Fla., and San Diego, Calif., respectively. The Jacksonville location is branded for both Payless Car Rental and Payless Parking.
"The dual-brand approach offers customers multiple services from a name they can trust while providing independents with the reservation and management systems to compete on a global level," said Michael J. Harley, president and chief operating officer of Payless Car Rental System. "The Jacksonville location increases our presence in the Florida market where we also have dual brands servicing Tampa and Orlando."
City Leasing & Rentals, owners/operators of the new San Diego Payless Car Rental System franchise, was a strong multi-location independent car rental operator in San Diego for more than 15 years before joining the Payless system.
"In today's market it's difficult for independents to prosper without outside resources," said Mark Stoner, general manager of City Leasing & Rentals. "Payless' Internet presence, training programs and technical and management resources make them an attractive solution for strong independents who want to take their company to the next level."
Additional locations servicing the San Diego market are expected to open in the near future, the company said.
