OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Rent-A-Wreck of America (RAWA) announced it has retained Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Co., the world's 10th largest insurance and risk management intermediary, to manage RAWA's captive insurance company.
Together with AIG, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs offer Rent-A-Wreck franchisees a complete portfolio of insurance products.
"Certainly HRH is highly regarded within the insurance industry, and I believe HRH and AIG give us one of the strongest vehicle rental insurance programs in our industry," said Rent-A-Wreck President Ken Blum II.
Rent-A-Wreck is celebrating its 30th anniversary since Southern California entrepreneur Dave Schwartz founded the company as a used car rental alternative to the larger car rental agencies. Rent-A-Wreck has since grown to include more than 400 locations in the U.S. and in Scandinavia.
