Russian ride-hailing app inDriver made its U.S. debut Tuesday in New York City, Mashable reports. However, unlike other services such as Uber and Lyft, inDriver customers negotiate the price of their trip.

When requesting a ride, customers input their destination and the price their willing to pay. Drivers then get notified of the offer and counter with their own price. Once the price has been negotiated, customers can see other offers with details such as vehicle type, driver rating, and estimated arrival time.

So far 5,000 New York drivers have been approved to drive for the app. As a promotion, inDrive won't be taking an commission fees for the first six months. After the six months are over, inDriver will being a commission of 5% to 8%; Uber takes about 25%.
