Silvercar, the app-based car rental operation, will be launching its silver Audi A4 rental service at Miami International Airport on July 14. The company is now taking reservations online.

"We're thrilled to begin building our East Coast footprint," said Silvercar CEO Luke Schneider. "Miami is a huge opportunity for us. Demand for our product continues to outpace supply in just about every market we operate. With Miami — the fifth largest car rental market in the U.S. — we can continue to tap into that demand and grow our passionate customer base."

From reservation to return, Silvercar customers can manage their entire car rental experience using a smartphone app. Customers can unlock an Audi A4 by scanning a QR code on the vehicle’s windshield, says the company.

Silvercar will offer Miami Airport customers an introductory rate of $59 a day for reservations starting July 14. Normal pricing is $89 on weekdays and $59 on weekends, says the company.
Miami will be Silvercar’s seventh location since it launched in 2013. Currently, Silvercar has airport locations at Los Angeles Int'l (LAX), San Francisco Int'l (SFO), Dallas Forth-Worth Int'l (DFW), Dallas Love-Field (DAL), Austin-Bergstrom Int'l (AUS) and Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l (PHX).
