TULSA, Okla. -- Thrifty Rent-A-Car System Inc. has named Windows-based BMS software, available from Orion Systems/BMS, the preferred counter automation system for Thrifty's Caribbean, Mexico and Latin American licensees.
"Our counter system evaluation team evaluated numerous products and concluded that the Orion/BMS package offered the best solution for our Caribbean, Mexico and Latin American team owners, said Trey Russell, director of counter automation at Thrifty.
The ability to accommodate multiple languages and currencies was instrumental in Thrifty's decision, said Rick Leeds, president and general manager of Orion Systems/BMS.
Orion/BMS, based in Omaha, Neb., has been a software developer for the auto rental industry for more than 20 years. The company's products are designed for both the Microsoft Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
