TULSA, Okla. - Thrifty Car Rental announced it will begin operating from in-terminal counter facilities at Chicago O'Hare's three main terminals beginning May 13.
The new counter locations inside the airport will allow customers to complete their transaction and then board curbside shuttle buses just outside the terminal to pick up their rental.
"Moving our counters into the main terminals of O'Hare is going to be an even easier way for travelers to get to know and try Thrifty," said Chris Hollingsworth, Thrifty's Chicago-area franchise owner. "Customers departing from O'Hare will continue to enjoy our parking facility, courtesy pickup, valet and shuttle services at our location on North Mannheim Road."
According to year 2000 Department of Transportation statistics, Chicago O'Hare was the second busiest airport in the U.S., with more than 33.8 million enplanements.
Thrifty operates three other locations in the Chicago metropolitan area, including an in-terminal location at Chicago-Midway airport. The company serves 21 of the 25 busiest airports in the U.S.
Other recent in-terminal additions for Thrifty Car Rental include: Burbank, Calif.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Minneapolis, Minn.
