What Airports Are Most Reliable During the Holidays?

Mint.com's infographic shows which airports during the holiday season have the most "on-time" flights, and least amount of delays and cancellations. San Francisco (SFO) has the lowest percentage of on-time flights and highest percentage of delays.

Using data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) and Airports Council International, Mint.com's infographic shows which airports during the holiday season have the most "on-time" flights, and least amount of delays and cancellations.

The holiday season is considered from the third Wednesday of December until the first Tuesday of January.

Airports with the best rates include Houston (IAH), with the highest percentage of on-time flights at 79% and the lowest percentage of cancelled flights at 1%. Other airports with the lowest percentage of cancellations are: Miami (MIA), Phoenix (PHX), Orlando (MCO), Las Vegas (LAS) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).

For the airport with the lowest percentage of delayed flights is Charlotte (CLT), while San Francisco (SFO) has the highest percentage of delayed flights as well as the lowest percentage of on-time flights. Newark (EWR) also has a low percentage of on-time flights.

The two airports with the highest percentage of cancelled flights are Chicago (ORD) and Boston (BOS).
