Wheelchair Getaways Launches Forum on Web Site
The forum was created to be a meeting place for individuals with disabilities, their families, friends and caregivers.
Wheelchair Getaways, a wheelchair accessible van rental company, launches an internet-based forum created to be a meeting place for individuals with disabilities, their families, friends and caregivers.
In a recent statement, Dale Richardson, head of Wheelchair Getaways, cited public accessibility and transportation as the major challenges facing individuals in wheelchairs and scooters. Richardson related, “Our customers always continue to amaze me. The resourcefulness in which they overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles is just incredible. That’s why I thought it was good idea to create a place where our customers and friends could share ideas and solutions that affect the wheelchair community.”
Richardson went on to state that he is sponsoring a contest to initially generate interest in the forum. The contest, named The Getaway with Wheelchair Getaways Giveaway Contest, will award prizes to forum participants based upon postings and responses. Winners of the contest will win a trip to Disney World, and will be allowed to bring three additional people. Second place winners will receive educational scholarships.
Richardson said he will also be awarding 50 third prizes good for use toward the rental of a wheelchair accessible van. He reiterated that anyone can enter by simply visiting their Web site, clicking on “Forum” and posting or commenting on a story. To learn more please visit the Wheelchair Getaways website at: www.WheelchairGetaways.com. Contest ends Nov. 15.
