WunderCar Expands Car Sharing to Dublin
German car-sharing startup WunderCar has expanded its service to Dublin, the first city outside of Germany.
German car-sharing startup WunderCar has expanded its service to Dublin, the first city outside of Germany, according to a Silicon Republic report.
Available for Apple and Android mobile devices, the WunderCar app allows people with cars to sign up and offer rides to users — similar to the Uber model. Currently, Dublin residents can sign up and apply to become a “Wunderdriver,” says the report.
There is no set fee for the service, making it the first pay-what-you-want transportation service in Ireland, according to the report.
“We believe that people in Dublin will use WunderCar to meet new people, earn or save some extra money and move around their city,” WunderCar Founder and CEO Gunnar Froh told the Silicon Republic.
Founded in 2013, WunderCar is also available in Hamburg and Berlin.
