Sixt is expanding its network of taxi and ride-hailing partners to Italy. A partnership with local taxi provider itTaxi brings on-demand ride-hailing via the Sixt app, released in a statement by the company. By enlarging the availability of on-demand ride-hailing offers via the Sixt app, the international mobility provider is increasing the offering on its integrated mobility platform ONE, according to the statement.

“By collaborating with itTaxi, we are able to expand our Sixt ride offering to include on-demand ride-hailing services in Rome in addition to the existing limousine and chauffeur services," said Konrad Thoma, senior vice president Mobility Products at Sixt, in the statement. "Residents of the capital as well as travellers to the city can now access the taxi service via the Sixt app, which provides them with an integrated offering for their mobility at the touch of a button – seamlessly and all via one app. Sixt is thus once again putting customers’ needs at the centre of its actions and is consistently pursuing its digitalisation and internationalisation strategy.”

The service is available via the Sixt app, which provides customers access to about 1 million drivers, available for ride-hailing on demand or booked in advance. In addition to ride-hailing and transfer services, Sixt’s integrated mobility platform ONE includes products for vehicle rental (Sixt rent), car sharing (Sixt share) and car subscriptions (Sixt+).
