NextCar and Priceless recently announced that Jon Dill and Penny Sottile have joined their operations support team.
At the start of Dill’s career in 1997, he reported for duty washing cars. With a career spanning all facets of the car rental industry, he has transitioned from roles behind the counter to branch management, eventually finding himself at the forefront of the NextCar business when it was established in 2004.
Dill played a pivotal role in the inception of the corporate sales department at NextCar. He not only built it from the ground up but also laid the foundation for its growth. In 2019, he assumed a position in the NextCar and Priceless business development teams, focusing on franchise and affiliate sales.
With Dill’s transition to operations, he leaves the sales department in the hands of Andres Lezcano, a colleague since 2020 and an industry veteran for over 25 years.
“Jon Dill's wealth of experience and proven track record within the company makes him an invaluable asset as we continue to evolve and strengthen our operations," said Michael DeLorenzo, president of NextCar and Priceless, in a news release. "Jon’s commitment to excellence aligns seamlessly with our company and brand values, and we look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our system.”
Sottile’s journey with NextCar and Priceless began in the corporate office, where she provided support to franchise owners until 2008. Then she was appointed as the full-time general manager of the Rent-A-Wreck corporate store in Baltimore. Under her leadership, the store saw growth, evolving from a startup with a fleet of 10 cars to an operation that typically peaks at 125 cars during summer.
In a testament to her forward-thinking approach, Sottile played a key role in managing the transition of the Rent-A-Wreck corporate store from the Bluebird system to the company's proprietary ASAP Rent in 2022. This accomplishment marked the Rent-A-Wreck corporate store as the inaugural location to successfully operate the new system.
"Penny has consistently demonstrated her ability to be a trailblazer within our organization," said Jason Manelli, vice president of Rent-A-Wreck. "Her background in supporting franchisees, coupled with her experience in managing a bustling and profitable store, makes her an invaluable addition to our leadership team. We are confident that Penny's proficiency and dedication will greatly benefit all franchise owners and managers within our constantly growing network."
