The 2020 International Car Rental Show, taking place March 22-24 at Caesars Las Vegas, announces the Tuesday morning breakfast keynote. In “Charting a Path to Renting Electric Vehicles,” a diverse panel of experts will outline the near future of electric vehicles and how car rental could take part in the new electrification ecosystem.

Moderated by Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News and conference chair, the panel will consist of Chris Haffenreffer, assistant vice president, Innovation at Enterprise Holdings; Lea Malloy, AVP of Research and Development for Cox Automotive Mobility Group; Arun Rajagopalan, co-founder and CEO at Motorq; and Natalia Swalnick, senior director of EV Programs at Electrification Coalition.

This panel of EV experts will outline the near future of the EV market. The discussion will range from planned models and charging infrastructure insights to car rental-specific issues such as residual value trends, logistics of renting EVs, fleet planning, data requirements, and renter education.

“Electric vehicles comprise only about 1.8% of new vehicle sales today, yet as many as 50 new electric models are planned within five years,” said Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News and conference chair. “The time is now to start discussing the opportunities — and challenges — for car rental.”

The Tuesday morning breakfast keynote convenes on March 24 at 8:40am. For more information on the 2020 International Car Rental Show visit here
