SEARCHARINC Managed Services launched microFIDS mobile, which gives fleet operators the ability to provide travelers with up-to-date flight information through vehicle-based displays.
ARINC Managed Services (AMS) launched its newest flight information technology, microFIDS mobile, according to a March 12 company press release.
The new solution allows airport shuttle bus companies, car rental companies and other passenger fleet operators to install flight information displays inside their vehicles.
MicroFIDS mobile also features an integrated GPS system, allowing the information displayed to change based on whether the vehicle is travelling to or from the airport.
"Providing live flight information to customers in transit offers peace-of-mind and eliminates surprises upon arrival at the terminal," said Christopher Forrest, managing director at AMS. "It's another way to take uncertainty and stress out of the travel experience."
The partnership reflects growing demand in the car rental industry for data-led operations that unlock efficiency and revenue.
