TSD Mobility Solutions has acquired Zubie, uniting a global software provider for rental car companies and dealerships with a provider of connected-car technology.
Zubie’s technology will enhance TSD’s offerings, allowing customers to track, optimize, and streamline fleet operations all in one place. Rental fleets and businesses will gain more insights into their vehicles so they can better manage and protect them.
TSD Mobility Solutions develops and provides fleet management software to manage reservations, telematics, tolls, and fuel. Their solutions help businesses with short-term rental operations, loaner fleets, and other fleets.
Since 2012, Zubie has worked with companies to improve operations and safety and reduce costs through data-driven products. The company’s telematics tools include 24/7 GPS tracking, vehicle health and maintenance, driver performance, driver check-in, fuel levels, vehicle valuation, dashcam connectivity, and real-time reporting.
The two companies also share a similar approach to client and partner support services.
“Joining forces with TSD allows us to deliver even greater value to the rental and dealership operators who rely on us every day,” said Chad Caswell, CEO of Zubie, in an Oct. 9 news release. “Our customers will see faster innovation, broader integrations, and more tools to improve their bottom line.”
In one example of how the two companies complement each other, Zubie’s smoke detection service protects fleets and enforces customer policies, which help car rental operators protect their assets and hold car renters accountable. TSD users can now incorporate this technology into their operations.
“By bringing Zubie into the TSD family, it will strengthen our ability to manage fleets across North America and the world,” said Shawn Concannon, TSD president.
