Auto Rental News Announces Business Outlook Survey
The survey aims to understand the market of non-corporate car rental operations in the United States. Results to be published in the 2014 Fact Book.
Auto Rental News announces the inaugural Business Outlook Survey, designed to gain data and metrics on the franchised and independent (non-corporate) auto rental market in the United States. Collected survey data and an analysis will be published in the 2014 Auto Rental News Fact Book, which mails in December 2013.
Auto Rental News subscribers from non-corporate operations have already received the survey via email. A reminder notice will be sent on Monday, Nov. 4. If you have not received the survey, and are a U.S.-based non-corporate car rental company, you may fill out the survey using this link:
For this survey, a non-corporate location is defined as an operation that rents primarily cars and is part of a franchise system, an independent car rental company, a company that is part of an affiliate system or a dealer-based car rental operation.
The survey is confidential, completely anonymous and does not ask for company or personal names. The results will only be used in aggregate and will not be shared with any source.
“While our annual survey of the U.S. Car Rental Market provides statistics on the overall market, the results of the Business Outlook Survey will provide invaluable insight into the operations of non-corporate stores in terms of revenue, profits, revenue per unit, utilization, rates and more — as well as how those operators view the future,” says Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News.
“Let me stress that no company information is recorded in the survey; the data will be presented as averages and ranges based on operation type and fleet size,” says Brown. “I urge you to take this survey to provide the most comprehensive data set possible.”
As a thank you for filling out the survey, all respondents will be entered in a drawing to receive one free, non-expiring registration to the Car Rental Show.
The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, Nov. 8.
For questions on the survey, email Chris Brown at chris.brown@bobit.com.
