Avis Budget Group Appoints New Member to Board of Directors
Jeffrey Fox, principal of investment firm The Circumference Group LLC, is the newest addition to Avis Budget Group’s board of directors.
Avis Budget Group Inc. today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Fox to its board of directors effective immediately. Fox will serve for a term scheduled to end at the 2014 annual meeting of stockholders.
With the addition of Fox, the board of directors now has 10 members.
As a principal and founder of The Circumference Group LLC, an investment and advisory firm, Fox brings leadership and executive management experience to the board. He also serves as non-executive chairman for the board of Convergys Corp., where he served as president and chief executive officer from 2010 to November 2012 and then executive chairman until April 2013.
Prior to that, Fox worked for Alltel Corp., serving as group president from 2003 to 2007 and then chief operating officer from 2007 through 2008.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Fox to the Avis Budget board of directors," said Ronald L. Nelson, Avis Budget Group chairman and chief executive officer. "Mr. Fox's significant leadership record and his extensive management experience will enhance the effectiveness of our board."
