JACKSON, Miss. -- U-Save Auto Rental of America Inc. has appointed Robert M. Barton the company's vice president of sales and marketing. Barton was previously with Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, where he was responsible for generating tour business globally.
U-Save said Barton will lead revenue growth efforts for the franchise system and coordinate marketing and public relations. Barton has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the car rental industry.
Barton has "already generated significant revenue growth from the tour sector to the benefit of many of our franchisees," said Sandy Miller, co-chairman for U-Save Auto Rental. "This is the first of several new appointments to the senior management of the company as we continue with our aggressive growth strategy."
Rental operators can now detect and act on speeding while vehicles are still on rent, thereby reducing fines, admin workload, vehicle wear, and safety risks.
