BMW’s DriveNow Car Sharing Fleet Partners with MyCityWay
In San Francisco, 70 DriveNow ActiveE vehicles will feature MyCityWay, a mobile technology company, to help users navigate through major cities.
BMW’s DriveNow car sharing program partnered with MyCityWay, a mobile technology company, according to an announcement at the Content and Apps for Automotive Conference hosted by Telematics Update in San Diego.
As part of the partnership, the MyCityWay platform will be installed in each of the 70 DriveNow BMW ActiveE electric vehicles in San Francisco.
The service will provide information including weather, traffic, parking, nearby events, dining and nightlife options, public transit updates, and more to DriveNow users.
“The localized services and connectivity provided by MyCityWay will serve to enhance the driver experience for our customers and make finding their way around San Francisco easier and more enjoyable,” said DriveNow CEO Rich Steinberg.
