The Boeing Co. has recognized Avis Budget Inc. as a “supplier of the year.” In January, Avis was notified that it was one of 548 companies to receive the Boeing Performance Excellence Award.
Avis has been Boeing’s exclusive car rental partner since 2013, according to the company.

This year's winners represent an elite group among more than 13,000 active Boeing suppliers from 47 countries around the world. The selection is based on statistical measurements of quality, on-time delivery, post-delivery support, cost and their ability to anticipate and respond to changing customer requirements.
“The Boeing Company's success in 2014 was due in large part to the strong performance of our supply chain," said Kent Fisher, Boeing's leader for supplier management. "We are facing an increasingly competitive landscape across all our businesses. To continue to lead the market, we need supplier partners like Avis Budget Group that understand the importance of creating a sustainable competitive advantage with products, services and support that meet or exceed the expectations of our customers."
With its partnership with Boeing, Boeing employees have access to Avis Budget vehicles around the world at Avis Car Rental and Budget Car Rental locations.

Rental operators can now detect and act on speeding while vehicles are still on rent, thereby reducing fines, admin workload, vehicle wear, and safety risks.
The combination brings actionable vehicle insights into PurCo’s PurInspect platform, improving damage detection and operational efficiency for rental fleets.
