CarTrawler Announces New Partnership with Wizz Air

Wizz Air marks the 32nd addition to CarTrawler's airline clients, and new rental function on WizzAir.com went live on Nov. 2.

CarTrawler, car rental technology provider, agreed to a multi-year deal with Wizz Air to provide the airline with an online car rental distribution platform, according to a Nov. 1 press release.

Wizz Air is the 32nd addition to a CarTrawler’s portfolio of airline clients, which includes Hawaiian Airlines, bmi Baby, Norwegian, Virgin Blue Australia, Malaysian Airlines, Emirates, Fly Dubai, Air India, Span Air, South African Airways, Vueling, Finn Air, Iceland Air and Gulf Air.

CarTrawler is the largest provider of car rental booking systems to the airline industry in the world. More than 200 million passengers have access to a comprehensive range of car rental solutions that have been integrated into the website of their airline of choice.

“Wizz Air passengers will have access to a choice of more than 550 car rental suppliers at 30,000 locations in 171 countries when booking their flights giving them even more reason to choose Wizz Air,” said Joe Farinella, marketing manager at CarTrawler, while speaking in Dublin on the announcement.  “The ancillary revenue that CarTrawler will enable Wizz Air to generate, will help the airline to continue offering their customers the lowest fares and their shareholders the greatest return.”

The new rental function on WizzAir.com went live on Nov. 2.
