Dublin-based CarTrawler, a car rental distribution systems company, created a Facebook app for users to book car rentals from CarTrawler partners, the company announced July 11.
The app features CarTrawler technology that connects travel brands with nearly 900 car rental agents at 30,000 city and airport locations across 174 countries.

“The introduction of a car rental app for Facebook further extends our partners retailing reach so that together we can maximize our share of the $47 billion a year car rental industry,” said CarTrawler CTO Bobby Healy. “Facebook now accounts for approximately one in five of all page views online. It’s time for the travel industry to harness the potential of this exposure.”
The app is available to customers to download for free at www.cartrawler.com.
