After acquiring the U.K.’s City Car Club carsharing company last year, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has officially changed the name to Enterprise Car Club.

By early summer, the carsharing vehicles will contain an Enterprise Car Club logo on them.

Enterprise Car Club will be supported by more than 430 Enterprise locations in the U.K., according to the company.

During the last year, Enterprise has invested in the car club’s website and in-car technologies to improve the customer experience. This investment program also includes new cars and a broader range of vehicles, including electric models, according to Enterprise.

“We believe that great things happen when we listen to our customers, which is why we acquired City Car Club a year ago,” said Khaled Shahbo, managing director, Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK & Ireland. “Consumers want to access vehicles in the way that’s most convenient to them — that includes on-street car clubs.”

“Some customers want to walk into a branch and be helped by one of our employees through the process, face-to-face. Others want to book a car for an hour, access it via their smartphone, and just go. We want to develop a network that can support all these requirements. That also means providing impeccable service and a terrific rental experience whether a customer wants a van for a week, a Maserati for a special day, or an electric vehicle for an hour,” added Shahbo.

The new Enterprise Car Club has operations in 19 cities around the U.K., including 24 of London’s 32 boroughs, according to the company.
