Auto Rental News and the American Car Rental Association (ACRA) are pleased to announce that Congressman Sam Graves of Missouri, Chairman of the Small Business Committee, will open the 2012 Car Rental Show on Monday, March 12 with a special address.

In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Small Business Committee, Graves also serves on the Transportation Committee. He is a co-sponsor of H.R. 2469, federal legislation that would prohibit future discriminatory taxes imposed on car rental customers by state and local governments.
In 2005, Graves authored the legislation that eliminated vicarious liability for owners of rented or leased vehicles. The Chairman will discuss new challenges for rental companies and all businesses.
“Auto rental and leasing consumers owe a debt of gratitude to Congressman Graves for passing tort reform for automobiles,” said Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “We are honored to have the Congressman speak at the 2012 Car Rental Show, and we are eager to hear his perspective on the current legislative landscape as well as any other challenges that lie ahead.”
The 2012 Car Rental Show will convene March 12-13 at the LVH-Las Vegas Hotel and Casino (formerly Las Vegas Hilton). Visit www.carrentalshow.com for information.
