China's Didi Chuxing announced today that it is restructuring its organization following an investigation by the Ministry of Transport that found the ride-hailing service violated multiple safety rules, Xinhuanet reports.
The company will be adding a chief safety officer and a chief security officer to ensure the safety of passengers and drivers. Didi is also setting up an emergency response unit and will be working closely with local public security bureaus.
Additionally, the company is merging its low-price and ride-hailing services into a business group which will provide increased training for drivers, in addition to creating a driver evaluation system.
