DriveItAway Inc., with a car dealer focus on shared mobility, has introduced a new turnkey vehicle subscription and monthly rental program for its dealer partners.
The existing DriveItAway platform was created for car dealers who are looking to provide shared mobility options to facilitate temporary rental vehicles for ride share, “gig” drivers. It now includes the ability for a dealer to offer new and used vehicle subscriptions or long-term rentals for non- “gig” drivers, both retail and commercial small business fleet customers.
The option will allow those dealers’ customers to have access to long-term rental offerings without any ownership or lease commitment. The service offers the ability to switch to a different vehicle at any time. Insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance are included.
“We are very excited to offer this new addition to our app and platform, exclusively for car dealers,” says John F. Possumato, president and CEO of DriveItAway. “We pioneered the turnkey solution for dealer focused car rentals/car sharing for Uber and Lyft drivers with a path to ownership, now we are bringing the ‘subscription’ or long-term rental side of this business back to dealers with an easy, low cost way for a dealer to satisfy this emerging market for both individual consumers and small businesses.”
